I have to say that thus far, Em and I are weathering this recessapression pretty well. We started with a budget and we have a general understanding that pretty much everything financial between us and individually is transparent, especially spending. Around the middle of each month, we write down all the expenses for the upcoming month down onto a plain, old-fashioned piece of paper and we include the dates of we plan to pay each bill. We keep these filed in our Apartment Box so we can look back and eventually have a concept of what we're spending and how. We started eating meals at home exclusively and I'm really enjoying the consistency and simplicity of well-balanced portions of healthy, nummy food. Finally, we're just trying to keep ourselves laughing and busy. When I'm crafting, Em's reading, and when I'm baking, Em's taste-testing. Now that Spring's just about here, our outdoor activities will probably become more frequent, including the distinct possibility that we'll head out to fly kites with friends like we are in the picture above.
All of this is to say that the recessapression need not negatively affect your domestic bliss if you talk about it, work it out, listen and continue to stay imaginative. This simple list of tips for keep your relationship recession-proof is a great start.
